What is the difference between Adult PRP and Child PRP?+
Adult PRP focuses on independent living, work, housing, benefits, and symptom management for people 18 and older. Child PRP focuses on school functioning, behavior, emotional regulation, and family coaching for children and adolescents, with caregivers involved throughout.
At what age does a child move to Adult PRP?+
Most participants transition around age 18, though the exact timing depends on school status and the individual rehabilitation plan. We plan the handoff in advance so services do not lapse.
Does Child PRP happen at school?+
It can. Child PRP services are delivered where they help most: at home, in the community, at our Baltimore offices, and in coordination with schools when the family authorizes it.
Do parents have to participate in Child PRP?+
Yes. Caregiver involvement is central to Child PRP. Rehabilitation specialists coach families on routines, de-escalation, school advocacy, and carrying skills over at home.
Can two family members be enrolled at once?+
Yes. An adult and a child in the same household can each be enrolled in the program that fits them, with coordination between their teams.
